Our Spend Analysis is a deep-dive into the the spend tracked within AMSHub. We look at spend in three main categories: Inventory, Resources, Fixed Costs and Personnel with totals displayed in tiles at the top of the page. You can click each of these tiles to see a detailed breakdown of spend in each of these categories by more detailed metrics.
The most detailed look at spend is seen when you select the Inventory Category. Here you will see inventory spend categorized further by Product Type, Procedure, Provider and Vendor. You can dig deeper still by clicking each of the items in the detail – a product type for instance – to see a breakdown of all items in the selected category and the associated quantity used and total spend. You will see that the spend data is overlayed with procedure volume and spending. This allows you to see a slight improvement in the relationship of this data as your facility continues to grow.
As with other reports available in AMSHub, the default reporting period is 30 days or you can sort by one the other date range options available as well as by a specific date range of your choosing. You can toggle between a line chart and a bar chart. In some instances, some data may be better understood by switching chart styles, so you can click the button any time you see it, to toggle to the other style to view your data. The toggle button is the chart icon located in the upper left corner of the currently displayed chart.
