Since AMSHub was designed to work just like your practice does, the use of inventory items is tracked by recording completed procedures. The Procedures tab will give you a full historic record of all your completed procedures and the items used in each procedure.
Every procedure completed at your facility will be entered into AMSHub in the Procedures area. This includes general information about the procedure and the inventory items and resources used. By default, the list panel shows procedures from the last 30 days. You can filter by the Patient ID or click the filter icon to expand the filter panel which lets you choose other date ranges, and filter by procedure type or provider. By default, the detail panel shows the most recent procedure entered into AMSHub unless you have selected a procedure from the list. This allows you to look back at previous procedure information as well as edit a procedure.
When looking at previous procedures, as of 12/20/24, you will see an icon next to Inventory Items Used. Clicking on the procedure inventory history button will display the history of items added or removed from a procedure. This feature was added on the date above so there will only be historical data available for items added to procedures beginning on that date.
To edit an existing procedure, click the Edit button, make the desired changes and click Save. To revert to the prior version and remove any unsaved changes, select the Cancel button.
Once you hit the edit button you can not only edit the procedure, but you can also review the Procedure Summary data for any of the previous procedures done.
Add New Procedure
It is critical, for accurate reporting, to add every procedure done at your facility into AMSHub. You will enter procedures as well as scan barcodes and add resources/resource bundles to account for each used item. Find out how to add a new procedure.
Delete a Procedure
In some cases you will need to delete a procedure. You should always try editing the procedure first, but if that doesn’t work it may be necessary to delete the procedure. Find out more on deleting a procedure.
Delete Item from Procedure
There could be a situation where you might need to delete an item that has been assigned to a procedure. You can learn more about what to do when deleting an item from a procedure as it will need to go back into your inventory or be deleted from your inventory.
