The Profitability Report provides a quick overview of broad income and expense values taken from the information gathered from the data input into AMSHub. Your Income total gathers the reimbursement data provided either globally in your Settings > Procedure Types, or more granularly if your facility defines reimbursements at the procedure level. Expense data is comprised of the collected material costs for all items scanned out into procedures in the selected time frame, coupled with their associated fixed costs, as defined in Settings > Procedure Types. The combination of Income totals and Expense totals produces the Net profit amount.
Additionally, we break these numbers down further so you can evaluate profitability by procedure types and providers.
As with many of the reports available in AMSHub, the default reporting period is 30 days or you can click on that box as there are a number of other date range options available. You can toggle between a line chart and a bar chart. In some instances, some data may be better understood by switching chart styles, so you can click the button any time you see it, to toggle to the other style to view your data. The toggle button is the chart icon located in the upper left corner of the currently displayed chart.
