All items added to inventory in AMSHub should enter the system via the Order and Delivery process. The Online Ordering Feature is an optional feature we offer to help dramatically simplify and streamline the completion of the ordering process. We’ve worked hard to unify your order process regardless of vendor. We look across your entire inventory in real time and prepare one order with all items needed across all vendors with the necessary reorder quantities. All items can be ordered from all vendors with just a few clicks. This saves facilities hours each day compared to the various processes required to manually order from each vendor directly, all while improving order quality by eliminating human errors.
This optional feature is easily implemented on any facility with our Inventory Management service in place. The only requirements are that you have an ordering contact setup in your facility preferences, and that you input your existing account numbers for each vendor you order from. Once that’s done, you can turn this feature on yourself by having your facility administrator login to AMSHub, go to Facility Settings > Services and check the box for Online Ordering. Alternatively, you can contact your sales rep for assistance. Once enabled, the next order you place in AMSHub will automatically get sent to all vendors for fulfillment instantly!
For facilities that want some checks and balances before having orders go directly to vendors, you can easily enable our order workflow feature to allow one person to create an order and a second person to approve the order before it’s sent for fulfillment.
