THE MATERIALS FEATURE HAS BEEN DEPRECATED AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE WITHIN AMSHUB. USE RESOURCES.
Each Material you add to AMSHub has a number of values that can be provided:
- Name – Any unique short name you want to assign to an item. This will appear throughout the Materials area so we recommend using something short and easily recognizable
- Ref Number – You can use an identifier on the packaging or make up your own reference number. This value must be unique and will appear throughout the Materials area
- Cost – Indicate the amount paid for the item
- Vendor – Indicate where you purchase the item as opposed to the manufacturer
- Category – For future ease of managing Materials, identify a category for each Material. A list of previously used categories will appear when you type into this box so reuse the same category names whenever possible to help group items. Examples may include: Office Supplies, Cleaning Supplies, etc.
- Qty On Hand – When adding a Material for the first time, indicate how many you have on hand. After the initial item is added, you can no longer edit this value as it will be calculated automatically as you add and remove items using the edit features
- Par – Indicate a Low and High par level. This tells AMSHub when to alert you to reorder (Low) and how many you want to keep on hand (High)
- Description – This optional field lets you add a longer note to describe the item or document any other useful information you’ll need to help manage these materials
